CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS - $1,000.00 - OPEN TO ALL CHAMPIONS OF ALL
CATEGORIES (no fee). Duplicate your original routine in a championship
dance off for an EXTRA $1,000.00 GRAND PRIZE!!!!! This is a BDUC original signature copyright format.
UNIVERSAL SOLO - ADULT: $1,000.00 cash prize = 5 minute routine Zils required, must include 4/4, 6/8, and Turkish 9/8 rhythms. Zils must
be played proficiently during SOME portion of routine, not necessarily
the 6/8 or 9/8 rhythms. This format does not necessarily dictate a
cabaret performance. It also will lend itself to folkloric
interpretation. There will be finals in this category. FINALS WILL
PERFORM TO LIVE MUSIC FEATURING 4/4, 6/8 AND 9/8 RHYTHMS + A SPONTANEOUS
DRUM SOLO. This is a BDUC original signature copyright format. *
PORTIONS OF THIS ROUTINE WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE NEW CD "ATLANTIS" (not
necessarily the 6/8 and or 9/8 rhythms) AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE.This is a BDUC original signature copyright format.
EGYPTIAN SOLO - ADULT: $1000.00 cash prize = 5 minute routine. No zil
requirement. Egyptian cabaret routine including short drum solo. FINALS
WILL PERFORM A DIFFERENT ROUTINE CHOREOGRAPHED BY YOU, THE FINALIST ++ A
SPONTANEOUS DRUM SOLO NEVER BEFORE HEARD BY ANY CONTESTANT.. Note: Dr
Farag's music (not the Drum Solo) is available for download as an MP3
file now, 12/ 20 /09, and the cd is available on our website. NOTE:
This is BDUC copyright material, All Rights Reserved. Format and music
are not to be duplicated for any purpose other than as a competitor in

GROUP - ALL STYLES, ALL AGES (5 TO 105) CABARET, FUSION, TRIBAL-FUSION, FOLKLORIC, etc.
$1,000.00 cash prize = 7 minutes.
REMEMBER: this is a belly dancing competition so you must belly dance
during some portion of the routine. Everyone must dance during some
portion of the routine. You may have musicians, but they must
participate in Choreography. Open to your creative ideas and efforts.
There will be finals. Re-enact your original routine FOR THE FINALS.
DRUM SOLO - ADULT: $300.00 cash prize = 5 min.
Use one or more styles and rhythms for this fun filled shake and quake
category. No zils. No finals. This is a BDUC original signature
copyright format.
FUSION SOLO - ADULT: $300.00 cash prize = 5 min- Fusion Solo = belly dance blended with other traditional or authentic
dance styles, tribal - fusion, poly -belly , Flamenco, East Indian,
modern, etc. No zils req. No finals. This is a BDUC original signature
copyright format.
VEIL SOLO - ADULT: $300.00 cash prize = 5 min - No zils. No finals. Use one or more veils, any shape ,any size, as many
as you wish! This is a BDUC original signature copyright format.
TAKSIM SOLO - ADULT: $300.00 cash prize = 5 min -
Any slow (taxim) musical piece (NO VEIL PLEASE in this category). Can
include belly rolls, floor work, props, balancing, and/or any
theatrical gimmicks,i.e. quarters, dancing on glasses, sword
balancing, etc. This is a BDUC original signature copyright format.
JUNIOR SOLO - 13 TO 17 YRS: $300.00 cash prize = 5 min.
Any Style. No zil requirement.
LITTLE SOLO - 5 TO 12 YRS: $300.00 cash prize = 4 min - Any Style. No zil requirement.
PLEASE!! NO FLAME OR NUDITY IN ANY CATEGORY!. YOU MUST REMAIN ON STAGE
DURING YOUR ENTIRE PERFORMANCE!
